If you could make your pet understand one thing, what would it be?

If I could make my pet understand one thing it would be that he is entirely too large for me to pick him up and put him in the tub. His legs work just fine and I am confident he has a good understanding of the human language.  His perisitant and  argumentive  barking clearing shows that he is utterly defiant of my commands.
