The Living Word

What’s a book that completely surprised you?

What’s a book that completely surprised me?

The living word has surprised and astonished me ever since I was a little girl. At first, the KJV was confusing and difficult. I read it as a child and was content with recognizing the stories that I heard in Bible school; Jonah, Moses, Adam and Eve. But when I read it again as an adult, new stories appeared with each chapter. Jacob listen to his mother’s sneaky advice, but he was also recorded performing selective breeding strategies on his head. Jonah disobeyed God and was swallowed by a giant fish but everyone on that ship who witnesses the storm subside after Jonah was thrown over, was saved that same day. Noah built an ark and he saved many animal by the pairs, but he brought on 7 pairs of the animals that are clean to eat. Noah was 500 years old when he began building and warned the people for 100 years that it would flood. Detail after detail hidden between the pages of the Living Word. Man has tried to change It to fit their narrative. Man has tried to take books from it, change meanings of words, and down right buried the truth around the world. But the truth is still there just as He promises it always will be. It just takes putting away what you have been told by these church that operate under 5013c, churches that talk more about the offering plate than scripture, churches that use God’s name in vain to deceive and spoon feed a lukewarm congregation. Step away from the traditions of men and deep dive into God’s Word. Find study tools to take it back to the original  languages yourself instead of relying on a man to interpret it for you. Study to show thy self approved.

The Bible will always be the most incredible and surprising book I could ever read. I have read it a few times and currently working through it again, and I still can find profound nuggets of truth that I missed before.
