John 13 1 Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.
2 And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray him;
3 Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God;
4 He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself.
5 After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded.
6 Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet?
7 Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter.

20 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me; and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.

23 Now there was leaning on Jesus’ bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved.
24 Simon Peter therefore beckoned to him, that he should ask who it should be of whom he spake.

29 For some of them thought, because Judas had the bag, that Jesus had said unto him, Buy those things that we have need of against the feast; or, that he should give something to the poor.

31 Therefore, when he was gone out, Jesus said, Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him.
32 If God be glorified in him, God shall also glorify him in himself, and shall straightway glorify him.

About 12 years ago my husband and I grew a massive garden. It was our first garden together so lack of experience left us with tons and tons of fresh produce. Not wanting to be wasteful, I drove to my local dollar tree and began handing out stuff for free. Each person that came out I would give away as much as they wanted. That year we grew giant congo watermelons and I had so many in my trunk my car was squatting. I watched as a man approached the store eyeing the watermelon. I watched him walk inside and buy a single bag of things. He walked out and marveled at the watermelon but didn’t ask and kept his distance.
“Would you like one?” I asked.
” I don’t have any money.”
“no worries , they are free. I grew too many and don’t want them to go to waste. ”
“Free?” the man asked. “Those are some big watermelons.”
I chuckled as I wrangled one of the 15 lb watermelons from the depths of my trunk. I placed it in his hands as he tried to hand me a single dollar bill.
I refused to take it and added more produce to a bag to give him as well.
The man looked shocked. He tried again to hand me the dollar.”This is all I have”
I refused once more. “I do not want your money sir, have a great day.”
I watched as the man hugged the watermelon, not bothered but the heavy load he now had to carry home. I saw tears streaming down his face as he turned away. God led me there that day and knew who needed the food I had to offer. That man has always stuck out to me with his gratitude and humbleness. I can only hope he made it home safely and he enjoyed the fruits of my labor.

27 For indeed he was sick nigh unto death: but God had mercy on him; and not on him only, but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow.
28 I sent him therefore the more carefully, that, when ye see him again, ye may rejoice, and that I may be the less sorrowful.
29 Receive him therefore in the Lord with all gladness; and hold such in reputation:
30 Because for the work of Christ he was nigh unto death, not regarding his life, to supply your lack of service toward me.
What was the devil thinking when he fell? Did he think he could escape hell? He was already guarding the mercy seat. Did he really think the Lord, he could defeat?
What about Jonah and the big fish? Did he really believe he could escape from God’s wish?
What about Moses and the Israelites? Was it not enough to see the pillar of fire at night?
What about Solomon and all of his wives? Didn’t God warn about that in the archives?
What about David and Uriah the hittite? Didn’t David know that God wouldn’t approve of the fight?
What about Peter when he denied Christ? Didn’t he believe it would be thrice?
The Bible gives us ample amount of examples,
of what not to do or his wrath will insue
It shows the people God uses and the type of people He chooses.
People who are not perfect just like you and me. Individuals that most people never see.
God picks the ones that will do his will, not whatever they feel.
With God the last will be first and the first will be last. So be sure to make Him you hold fast.
The meek shall inherit the Earth and all that it is worth.
So put your faith in the Most High King and all that He will bring.

Genesis 27 1 And it came to pass, that when Isaac was old, and his eyes were dim, so that he could not see, he called Esau his eldest son, and said unto him, My son: and he said unto him, Behold, here am I.
2 And he said, Behold now, I am old, I know not the day of my death:
3 Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison;
4 And make me savoury meat, such as I love, and bring it to me, that I may eat; that my soul may bless thee before I die.
5 And Rebekah heard when Isaac spake to Esau his son. And Esau went to the field to hunt for venison, and to bring it.
6 And Rebekah spake unto Jacob her son, saying, Behold, I heard thy father speak unto Esau thy brother, saying,
7 Bring me venison, and make me savoury meat, that I may eat, and bless thee before the LORD before my death.
8 Now therefore, my son, obey my voice according to that which I command thee.
9 Go now to the flock, and fetch me from thence two good kids of the goats; and I will make them savoury meat for thy father, such as he loveth:
10 And thou shalt bring it to thy father, that he may eat, and that he may bless thee before his death.
11 And Jacob said to Rebekah his mother, Behold, Esau my brother is a hairy man, and I am a smooth man:
12 My father peradventure will feel me, and I shall seem to him as a deceiver; and I shall bring a curse upon me, and not a blessing.

25 And he said, Bring it near to me, and I will eat of my son’s venison, that my soul may bless thee. And he brought it near to him, and he did eat: and he brought him wine, and he drank.
26 And his father Isaac said unto him, Come near now, and kiss me, my son.

32 And Isaac his father said unto him, Who art thou? And he said, I am thy son, thy firstborn Esau.

35 And he said, Thy brother came with subtilty, and hath taken away thy blessing.

41 And Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing wherewith his father blessed him: and Esau said in his heart, The days of mourning for my father are at hand; then will I slay my brother Jacob.
42 And these words of Esau her elder son were told to Rebekah: and she sent and called Jacob her younger son, and said unto him, Behold, thy brother Esau, as touching thee, doth comfort himself, purposing to kill thee.
43 Now therefore, my son, obey my voice; and arise, flee thou to Laban my brother to Haran;
44 And tarry with him a few days, until thy brother’s fury turn away;
45 Until thy brother’s anger turn away from thee, and he forget that which thou hast done to him: then I will send, and fetch thee from thence: why should I be deprived also of you both in one day?
46 And Rebekah said to Isaac, I am weary of my life because of the daughters of Heth: if Jacob take a wife of the daughters of Heth, such as these which are of the daughters of the land, what good shall my life do me?
Genesis 28 1 And Isaac called Jacob, and blessed him, and charged him, and said unto him, Thou shalt not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan.
2 Arise, go to Padanaram, to the house of Bethuel thy mother’s father; and take thee a wife from thence of the daughters of Laban thy mother’s brother.
3 And God Almighty bless thee, and make thee fruitful, and multiply thee, that thou mayest be a multitude of people;
4 And give thee the blessing of Abraham, to thee, and to thy seed with thee; that thou mayest inherit the land wherein thou art a stranger, which God gave unto Abraham.
5 And Isaac sent away Jacob: and he went to Padanaram unto Laban, son of Bethuel the Syrian, the brother of Rebekah, Jacob’s and Esau’s mother.
6 When Esau saw that Isaac had blessed Jacob, and sent him away to Padanaram, to take him a wife from thence; and that as he blessed him he gave him a charge, saying, Thou shalt not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan;
7 And that Jacob obeyed his father and his mother, and was gone to Padanaram;
8 And Esau seeing that the daughters of Canaan pleased not Isaac his father;
9 Then went Esau unto Ishmael, and took unto the wives which he had Mahalath the daughter of Ishmael Abraham’s son, the sister of Nebajoth, to be his wife.
10 And Jacob went out from Beersheba, and went toward Haran.
11 And he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put them for his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep.

17 And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! this is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.
18 And Jacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put for his pillows, and set it up for a pillar, and poured oil upon the top of it.
19 And he called the name of that place Bethel: but the name of that city was called Luz at the first.
20 And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat, and raiment to put on,
21 So that I come again to my father’s house in peace; then shall the LORD be my God:
22 And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God’s house: and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee.

Describe a decision I made in the past that helped me learn or grow. I think the number one decision I have made that has helped me learn and grow would be studying the Bible each and everyday. I aim to complete a whole lesson which typically takes 30-40 minutes but if that is not possible then I simply do what I can. As we all know life happens and sometimes doesn’t go as planned, whether it’s five minutes or five hours, I hear God’s word every single day, without fail. This new daily ritual has expanded my Biblical knowledge exponentially. Everyday I learn something new or gain a better understanding of something. Around the same time I started to make this habit I prayed to Father for a thirst for His knowledge that never runs dry. I prayed for understanding and clarity in the ways that He would want me to interpret His letter to me. I can say without a doubt that God listened and answered my prayers beyond my expectations. My relationship with God has grown to deeper and more meaningful levels and my faith has grown leaps and bounds. My fluency with some difficult names and places now rolls off my tongue as if it is my native language. My scriptural recall has doubles in comparison. My concept of the subject and time frame had broadened to new levels of understanding. I am well pleased with myself for starting this some time ago. I wish I would have marked my calendar because I do not know how long it has been, a year, maybe a year and a half. Regardless this decision has shaped my life in more ways than I can count. I would highly recommend it!
