I enjoy reading free verse poetry but have never liked the way I wrote it. It would always seem sloppy and like something was missing. Despite my critical eye I have written this free verse poem. I enjoyed creating it but the occasional rhyme still leaped out from time to time. I hope my readers will enjoy it as well.
Greed & Corruption
It’s hard to live in a society built on lies and greed.
Every level of every empire operates on manipulation, relabeled as supply and demand.
The food makes us sick and the doctors make us sicker.
The whole time proclaiming all natural and a better way of life.
Doctors get bonus for pushing products
Big pharma lines their pockets.
Paid off scientist to fit an agenda
Fabricated data to swindle the people
The government embezzles money and blames it on the public.
The school teaches our children fake history and lies.
They tried to rewrite history, I don’t know why I am surprised.
Processed food has become a way of life. Without it most don’t know how to survive.
That’s what they have wanted along to make us dependent and to stay where we belong.
Don’t question the narrative just go along.
Each generation sings the same ol song.
Don’t believe the media or what you see on TV.
Only listen to the truth you hear when you
go to your knees.
He will lead you through this treacherous of this world,
And bring you with Him when He restores her to her glory.

Reblog: Not my words, but a wonderfully written master piece.
There’s a door I’ve been avoiding, painted white with years of silence, and you know the one I mean— the one that creaks when I approach with trembling fingers wrapped around a pen that’s forgotten how to bleed. I stand before this threshold now, my shadow stretched across the floor like all the words I’ve left unsaid, and you can see how small I’ve become in the space between intention and the courage to begin again.

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
Acts 1:8 KJV

Acts 1
1 The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,
2 Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:
3 To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:
4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.
5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.
6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?
7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
12 Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day’s journey.
13 And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James.
14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.
15 And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,)
16 Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus.
17 For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry.
18 Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out.
19 And it was known unto all the dwellers at Jerusalem; insomuch as that field is called in their proper tongue, Aceldama, that is to say, The field of blood.
20 For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishoprick let another take.
21 Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us,
22 Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.
23 And they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias.
24 And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen,
25 That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.
26 And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.

God bless and I hope to have you back tomorrow.

Esau, also known as Edom, was the eldest son of Isaac and Rebekah and grandson of Abraham. He was born the elder twin to his brother Jacob. In Hebrew tradition he is considered the ancestor of the Edomites. His name means hairy, for hairy and red he was when he came from his mother’s womb as described in Genesis 25:25. Esau became a skillful hunter and was favored by his father while Jacob preferred the indoors and was favored by his mother. One day after Esau came in from the field famished, he was persuaded by Jacob, to trade his birthright for a bowl of stew, Genesis 25:29-34. Later, when his father was near the end of life and giving out blessings, his blessing was stolen by his brother Jacob. Despite the hostility between the brothers, late on in life they do reconcile, Genesis 34:4. Even though he lost the birthright, Esau became the father of the Edomites, a powerful nation. While Jacob carried the spiritual blessing, Esau still received material blessings. Isaac told him he would live by the sword and have freedom. God gave Esau land, family, and prosperity, even without the covenant promise. Esau’s offspring split into various groups, each one led by a chieftain. One of these groups was named Magdiel, which is identified as Rome. Indeed, there is a longstanding tradition that the Romans were descendants of Esau, and as such, Jewish literature refers to the Roman Empire as the Kingdom of Edom.
That concludes our in-depth study of Esau. I hope to have you back next Tuesday as well continue to learn about the people of the Bible.

Welcome back to our in-depth Bible study.
Numbers 5:3
3 Both male and female shall ye put out, without the camp shall ye put them; that they defile not their camps, in the midst whereof I dwell.
4 And the children of Israel did so, and put them out without the camp: as the LORD spake unto Moses, so did the children of Israel.
5 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
6 Speak unto the children of Israel, When a man or woman shall commit any sin that men commit, to do a trespass against the LORD, and that person be guilty;
7 Then they shall confess their sin which they have done: and he shall recompense his trespass with the principal thereof, and add unto it the fifth part thereof, and give it unto him against whom he hath trespassed.
8 But if the man have no kinsman to recompense the trespass unto, let the trespass be recompensed unto the LORD, even to the priest; beside the ram of the atonement, whereby an atonement shall be made for him.
9 And every offering of all the holy things of the children of Israel, which they bring unto the priest, shall be his.
10 And every man’s hallowed things shall be his: whatsoever any man giveth the priest, it shall be his.
11 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
12 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, If any man’s wife go aside, and commit a trespass against him,
13 And a man lie with her carnally, and it be hid from the eyes of her husband, and be kept close, and she be defiled, and there be no witness against her, neither she be taken with the manner;
14 And the spirit of jealousy come upon him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she be defiled: or if the spirit of jealousy come upon him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she be not defiled:
15 Then shall the man bring his wife unto the priest, and he shall bring her offering for her, the tenth part of an ephah of barley meal; he shall pour no oil upon it, nor put frankincense thereon; for it is an offering of jealousy, an offering of memorial, bringing iniquity to remembrance.
16 And the priest shall bring her near, and set her before the LORD:
17 And the priest shall take holy water in an earthen vessel; and of the dust that is in the floor of the tabernacle the priest shall take, and put it into the water:
18 And the priest shall set the woman before the LORD, and uncover the woman’s head, and put the offering of memorial in her hands, which is the jealousy offering: and the priest shall have in his hand the bitter water that causeth the curse:
19 And the priest shall charge her by an oath, and say unto the woman, If no man have lain with thee, and if thou hast not gone aside to uncleanness with another instead of thy husband, be thou free from this bitter water that causeth the curse:
20 But if thou hast gone aside to another instead of thy husband, and if thou be defiled, and some man have lain with thee beside thine husband:
21 Then the priest shall charge the woman with an oath of cursing, and the priest shall say unto the woman, The LORD make thee a curse and an oath among thy people, when the LORD doth make thy thigh to rot, and thy belly to swell;
22 And this water that causeth the curse shall go into thy bowels, to make thy belly to swell, and thy thigh to rot: And the woman shall say, Amen, amen.
23 And the priest shall write these curses in a book, and he shall blot them out with the bitter water:
24 And he shall cause the woman to drink the bitter water that causeth the curse: and the water that causeth the curse shall enter into her, and become bitter.
25 Then the priest shall take the jealousy offering out of the woman’s hand, and shall wave the offering before the LORD, and offer it upon the altar:
26 And the priest shall take an handful of the offering, even the memorial thereof, and burn it upon the altar, and afterward shall cause the woman to drink the water.
27 And when he hath made her to drink the water, then it shall come to pass, that, if she be defiled, and have done trespass against her husband, that the water that causeth the curse shall enter into her, and become bitter, and her belly shall swell, and her thigh shall rot: and the woman shall be a curse among her people.
28 And if the woman be not defiled, but be clean; then she shall be free, and shall conceive seed.
29 This is the law of jealousies, when a wife goeth aside to another instead of her husband, and is defiled;
30 Or when the spirit of jealousy cometh upon him, and he be jealous over his wife, and shall set the woman before the LORD, and the priest shall execute upon her all this law.
31 Then shall the man be guiltless from iniquity, and this woman shall bear her iniquity.

That wraps up chapter 5 today of the great book of Numbers. Come back tomorrow as we begin chapter 6. Thank you for reading and God bless!
What is your favorite season of year? Why?

My favorite season is spring. There is something about the shift in nature that has always intrigued me. The days get longer, flowers begin to bloom, the whole world starts a new awakening. Bugs begin to leave the ground as well as shrews and ground moles. Hibernating animals come awake from their deep sleep hungry and ready to explore. Butterflies and other insects that metamorphosize are emerging from their cocoons.
Even the smell changes, sweet and familiar, damp and holding the abundant energy of new life waiting in anticipation. The future prospect of new beginnings and starting over. Everything begins to stir, all in its own time, yet somehow dancing in unison to the tune that God set forth long ago. It’s magical, it’s beautiful, it is God’s great design. How marvelous it is every spring to watch the world come alive.
According to the solar calendar the beginning of the year begins at the spring equinox, not in the dead of winter. I think that makes a lot more sense to me.
