Adam and Eve: An Extensive study of people in the Bible.

I strive to have a deep and meaningful understanding of the Bible. I read or listen to God’s word daily and I am searching for fun ways to learn more. I think an extensive character study would be an excellent way to gain a better understanding of His message. I hope my readers enjoy this new resource as we delve into the people of the Bible.

I was taught as a child that Adam and Eve were the beginning of mankind and all races and peoples originated from them. After I studied the Bible further as an adult I soon discovered it tells a different story entirely. In Genesis 1:27  it clearly explains that on day 6 God made man and woman in their image. That day would also be the day all races were created as well. The 7th day God rested. The 8th day he made Adam which in Hebrew “Adam” is written as אדם (adam) and is pronounced ah-dom.

All races coming from one female and one male is not only impossible it is Biblically inaccurate. If Adam and Eve were capable of such a feat then explain how in Genesis 4:16,  Cain went to the land of Nod and found a wife. Where did these other people come from? The Bible explains in detail that those people were of the 6th day creation. Lets not forget that one day with the Lord is 1000 years. 1000 years is one day, 2 Peter 3:8.

In Genesis 3:20, it declares Eve as the mother of all living things.  That statement is true and accurate because from her, umbilical cord to umbilical cord, the Savior Jesus Christ would be born. Hence the mother of all the living, those living in Christ of course, not all living beings.

It is not written how He made the people of the 6th day creation, however as for Adam and Eve the Bible explains perfectly. On the 6th day God made Adam from the dust of the ground and breathed breath into his lungs, Genesis 2:7. His purpose was to tend to the Garden of Eden as God put him in that very spot, Genesis 2:8. God also allowed Adam to name every beast of the field and fowl of the air, Genesis 2:19 & 20. When no help mate could be found God caused Adam to fall into a deep sleep. Genesis 2:21. Most churches teach that Eve was made from Adam’s rib but no such word is in the Bible. The word use is curved which translates in Hebrew to Tsela (צֵלָע),which more accurately means “side” or “curved part”.  Thus, more accurately, Eve was made from the curve of Adam’s DNA. Not Adam’s rib like it is still taught to this day. Sadly most Christians will never study deep enough to see otherwise.

I have never claimed to be a preacher or a teacher. Shepherd’s Chapel gives this advice often so I will as well. Don’t listen to man, read Father’s word for yourself. But read it without the influence of man and interpret the word for yourself. Mark 7:13 warns us that the traditions of men will make void the word of God. Are you studying God’s word or listening to man preach?

To conclude, Adam and Eve were not the first humans on Earth and every race certainly did not come from Adam’s loins and Eve’s womb. Adam and Eve were created on the 8th day and from umbilical cord to umbilical cord, Christ would be born. The Bible follows and describes that lineage from Genesis to Revelation. My beloved reader, study to show thyselves approved.

Juggling Act

How do you balance work and home life?

How do I balance work and home life? I have a schedule I try to stick to, but some day I just make things up as I go along. It’s a delicate balancing act between what is priority and what can wait. I homeschool two children in the mornings with a toddler tagging along. I work in the evenings. When I get home I am forced to choose between unwinding and losing sleep or going straight to bed to have an early start the next day.

When I am at home I am busy planning, teaching or cleaning. When I am at work I am focused on mentally planning and doing my job. To add to the craziness I make sure I fit God’s word into my lifestyle daily. It’s always a high speed juggling act but I love my little circus.

Leviticus 8:31 – 10:3

Leviticus 8:31

31 And Moses said unto Aaron and to his sons, Boil the flesh at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and there eat it with the bread that is in the basket of consecrations, as I commanded, saying, Aaron and his sons shall eat it.

32 And that which remaineth of the flesh and of the bread shall ye burn with fire.

33 And ye shall not go out of the door of the tabernacle of the congregation in seven days, until the days of your consecration be at an end: for seven days shall he consecrate you.

34 As he hath done this day, so the LORD hath commanded to do, to make an atonement for you.

35 Therefore shall ye abide at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation day and night seven days, and keep the charge of the LORD, that ye die not: for so I am commanded.

36 So Aaron and his sons did all things which the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses.

Leviticus 9
1 And it came to pass on the eighth day, that Moses called Aaron and his sons, and the elders of Israel;

2 And he said unto Aaron, Take thee a young calf for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering, without blemish, and offer them before the LORD.

3 And unto the children of Israel thou shalt speak, saying, Take ye a kid of the goats for a sin offering; and a calf and a lamb, both of the first year, without blemish, for a burnt offering;

4 Also a bullock and a ram for peace offerings, to sacrifice before the LORD; and a meat offering mingled with oil: for to day the LORD will appear unto you.

5 And they brought that which Moses commanded before the tabernacle of the congregation: and all the congregation drew near and stood before the LORD.

6 And Moses said, This is the thing which the LORD commanded that ye should do: and the glory of the LORD shall appear unto you.

7 And Moses said unto Aaron, Go unto the altar, and offer thy sin offering, and thy burnt offering, and make an atonement for thyself, and for the people: and offer the offering of the people, and make an atonement for them; as the LORD commanded.

8 Aaron therefore went unto the altar, and slew the calf of the sin offering, which was for himself.

9 And the sons of Aaron brought the blood unto him: and he dipped his finger in the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar, and poured out the blood at the bottom of the altar:

10 But the fat, and the kidneys, and the caul above the liver of the sin offering, he burnt upon the altar; as the LORD commanded Moses.

11 And the flesh and the hide he burnt with fire without the camp.

12 And he slew the burnt offering; and Aaron’s sons presented unto him the blood, which he sprinkled round about upon the altar.

13 And they presented the burnt offering unto him, with the pieces thereof, and the head: and he burnt them upon the altar.

14 And he did wash the inwards and the legs, and burnt them upon the burnt offering on the altar.

15 And he brought the people’s offering, and took the goat, which was the sin offering for the people, and slew it, and offered it for sin, as the first.

16 And he brought the burnt offering, and offered it according to the manner.

17 And he brought the meat offering, and took an handful thereof, and burnt it upon the altar, beside the burnt sacrifice of the morning.

18 He slew also the bullock and the ram for a sacrifice of peace offerings, which was for the people: and Aaron’s sons presented unto him the blood, which he sprinkled upon the altar round about,

19 And the fat of the bullock and of the ram, the rump, and that which covereth the inwards, and the kidneys, and the caul above the liver:

20 And they put the fat upon the breasts, and he burnt the fat upon the altar:

21 And the breasts and the right shoulder Aaron waved for a wave offering before the LORD; as Moses commanded.

22 And Aaron lifted up his hand toward the people, and blessed them, and came down from offering of the sin offering, and the burnt offering, and peace offerings.

23 And Moses and Aaron went into the tabernacle of the congregation, and came out, and blessed the people: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto all the people.

24 And there came a fire out from before the LORD, and consumed upon the altar the burnt offering and the fat: which when all the people saw, they shouted, and fell on their faces.

Leviticus 10
1 And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not.

2 And there went out fire from the LORD, and devoured them, and they died before the LORD.

3 Then Moses said unto Aaron, This is it that the LORD spake, saying, I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me, and before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace.

What Do You Do?

What do you do when your body feels stuck,
deep down or in a rut?

What do you do when the thought of moving is too much to bear?
The weight of it is like a shirt you wear.

What do you do when your feet weigh
N as much as a ton?
Walking is impossible, let alone run.

What do you do when you’re frozen in place?
The next obstacle, unable to face.

What do you do when the sun won’t shine or you can’t find the remedy to unwind?

What do you do when you don’t want to eat but cooking seems too difficult to complete?

What do you do when your body says stop, we need this.
All the while the world speeds by adding to what you missed.

What should you do? You listen to your body screaming aloud.
Please just a tiny break, I’m sure it’s allowed.

Listen to your body and the things that it needs.
Listen closely or sick you’ll be.

Make time for your body to heal
or your wounds will slowly kill.

Take rest in the Lord our Holy Sabbath. Forget the Lord and face his wrath.

True peace can only be found with Him. This is why we have the Comforter, the fight we will always win.

Today’s rain clouds and showers,
brings tomorrow’s flowers.

So despite the darkness and the rain.
I will forever proclaim His name.

For what seems impossible today,
is only a prayer away!

Smyrna and Philadelphia

In the book of Revelation John was dictated by Jesus to write seven letters addressed to seven specific churches, Revelation 2:8-11 and Revelation 3:7-13 KJV. Only two of those churches were praised for their unwavering faithfulness and endurance. That would be the churches of Smyrna and Philadelphia. I do not bring this verse to light as a Biblical backing for the purpose of this article, rather to point out God’s warning that not all churches preach the whole truth. We as Christians must use the discernment that God gave us to decide where we are fed and where we choose not to dine. I am careful who I listen to as I do not like to hear false teaching such as the rapture theory or Easter should be observed with the Easter Bunny. I want the truth not the traditions of men.

With that being said, about a year ago a small church in Kokomo  Indiana caught my attention. The pastor Jesse Sisk teaches the same truth as Arnold and Dennis Murray. I have listened to Arnold for about 10 years so my confidence in his videos is unwavering. I have heard not one discrepancy from pastor Jesse and urge all my listeners to consider his videos as well. I will be using pastor Jesse’s videos with the daily Bible studies and pastor Arnold and Dennis for the in-depth Bible studies. I hope the fresh new face will add a layer of excitement and depth to our Bible study routine, bringing new insights and perspectives to the table. What sacrifices have you made in life?

Endless Love

What sacrifices have I made in life? I wasn’t sure how to answer this question.  When words escape me, I use rhymes to bring clarity. Here is a poet’s twist on today’s prompt.

The sacrifices of a mother never change.
They only transform with each passing age.

One day it’s diapers and midnight cries.
The next is the sippy cups and little high fives.
One more blink and the toddler age has gone by.
Replaced with a teenager ready to fly.

For a matriarch everything comes before her own needs.
Always doing more than she believes.

The life of a mother isn’t for the weak,
But rather the meek.

Some check out before the journey begins
Some make it to a few wins.
Others fight to the end. 

The sacrifices often go untold.
Holding it together trying not to fold.

How can one give an accurate count?
When no one else is around to take account.

I assure you my friend,
the sacrifices of a mother has no end.

The number goes beyond googleplex,
Yet she still willfully accepts the next.

Mother’s are special, it take a special breed,
to live a life of others needs.

Leviticus 8:1 – 8:30

1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

2 Take Aaron and his sons with him, and the garments, and the anointing oil, and a bullock for the sin offering, and two rams, and a basket of unleavened bread;

3 And gather thou all the congregation together unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

4 And Moses did as the LORD commanded him; and the assembly was gathered together unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

5 And Moses said unto the congregation, This is the thing which the LORD commanded to be done.

6 And Moses brought Aaron and his sons, and washed them with water.

7 And he put upon him the coat, and girded him with the girdle, and clothed him with the robe, and put the ephod upon him, and he girded him with the curious girdle of the ephod, and bound it unto him therewith.

8 And he put the breastplate upon him: also he put in the breastplate the Urim and the Thummim.

9 And he put the mitre upon his head; also upon the mitre, even upon his forefront, did he put the golden plate, the holy crown; as the LORD commanded Moses.

10 And Moses took the anointing oil, and anointed the tabernacle and all that was therein, and sanctified them.

11 And he sprinkled thereof upon the altar seven times, and anointed the altar and all his vessels, both the laver and his foot, to sanctify them.

12 And he poured of the anointing oil upon Aaron’s head, and anointed him, to sanctify him.

13 And Moses brought Aaron’s sons, and put coats upon them, and girded them with girdles, and put bonnets upon them; as the LORD commanded Moses.

14 And he brought the bullock for the sin offering: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the bullock for the sin offering.

15 And he slew it; and Moses took the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar round about with his finger, and purified the altar, and poured the blood at the bottom of the altar, and sanctified it, to make reconciliation upon it.

16 And he took all the fat that was upon the inwards, and the caul above the liver, and the two kidneys, and their fat, and Moses burned it upon the altar.

17 But the bullock, and his hide, his flesh, and his dung, he burnt with fire without the camp; as the LORD commanded Moses.

18 And he brought the ram for the burnt offering: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the ram.

19 And he killed it; and Moses sprinkled the blood upon the altar round about.

20 And he cut the ram into pieces; and Moses burnt the head, and the pieces, and the fat.

21 And he washed the inwards and the legs in water; and Moses burnt the whole ram upon the altar: it was a burnt sacrifice for a sweet savour, and an offering made by fire unto the LORD; as the LORD commanded Moses.

22 And he brought the other ram, the ram of consecration: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the ram.

23 And he slew it; and Moses took of the blood of it, and put it upon the tip of Aaron’s right ear, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot.

24 And he brought Aaron’s sons, and Moses put of the blood upon the tip of their right ear, and upon the thumbs of their right hands, and upon the great toes of their right feet: and Moses sprinkled the blood upon the altar round about.

25 And he took the fat, and the rump, and all the fat that was upon the inwards, and the caul above the liver, and the two kidneys, and their fat, and the right shoulder:

26 And out of the basket of unleavened bread, that was before the LORD, he took one unleavened cake, and a cake of oiled bread, and one wafer, and put them on the fat, and upon the right shoulder:

27 And he put all upon Aaron’s hands, and upon his sons’ hands, and waved them for a wave offering before the LORD.

28 And Moses took them from off their hands, and burnt them on the altar upon the burnt offering: they were consecrations for a sweet savour: it is an offering made by fire unto the LORD.

29 And Moses took the breast, and waved it for a wave offering before the LORD: for of the ram of consecration it was Moses’ part; as the LORD commanded Moses.

30 And Moses took of the anointing oil, and of the blood which was upon the altar, and sprinkled it upon Aaron, and upon his garments, and upon his sons, and upon his sons’ garments with him; and sanctified Aaron, and his garments, and his sons, and his sons’ garments with him.

Homeless

It lights out but not for me,
I have no control over the electricity.

I bury my face into my hood
The only place I possibly could


The cold it bites,
especially during the night.
I wrap tightly in a sheet
My stomach craving meat
My body, yearning for heat.
It’s no joke living on the street.


Warmth is always a temporary feeling.
One that can be hard to find when you don’t have a ceiling.

Instead I lay beneath the blanket of stars.
Lullabied by the sound of cars.

Showers, refrigeration, or just a home cooked meal.
I long after such amenities with zeal.

But all of those are a source of dread, when you don’t have a roof over your head.

Everybody’s story and reasons are different.
But I assure you, none of them are deliberate.

No one wants to be here living in shame
Everyone plays the game
with a different aim.

No one wants to be living on the streets
Where rock bottom and the end of the road meet.

But it happens everyday,
people rise and fall in dismay.

How could this happen, how could this be?
I don’t look down upon thee,
Because I know tomorrow it could easily be me.
