My poems tend to have a single tone.
Like water meeting a stone.
Or the ring of a phone.
Maybe at some point a new rhythm will begin.
Until then I’ll just follow my pen and ride it till the end.
Because truthfully, I don’t know what to do to find a new tune.
Maybe all this bundled inside
will finally see light, no reason to hide
Bleeding out from my soul, stuck on repeat trapped in a beat.
Same song, different words.
Another step forwards
as the energy is transferred,
seen but never heard.
How does one stop a beat and make it retreat
or is it possible to defeat?
Maybe it’s like my first thought
and it shouldn’t be fought
Just something I need to ride
until the feelings subsides.
For now I will dance
until I find a new candace.
Better to dance in the rain
then to complain in vain.
Refreshing poem. You write good. I love poetry. Dad always said I spoke like a Poet. Haven’t written poetry in awhile. Keep it up. Love it.

Your welcome. I would absolutely love to post poetry but I never have on the internet because for me my poetry is very private. When I write a notebook of it, I come back to it a few years later to reflect on what I was feeling. I typically just write blogs about lifestyle and Wisdom. But thanks for the encouragement also.

This is beautiful, self-aware, and honest. It feels like a conversation with your own creativity.
You captured something important here: The rhythm you’re in isn’t a trap — it’s a river.
