Size Small

I will never be a size small

I will never be a size small.
Just like I will never be really tall.

I used to look in the mirror and see all my flaws.
Now for a moment I take a pause.

No longer is it just my eyes looking back but my daughters too.
Who knew

seeing a mini version of me
would make me love my body.

Her curves, hips and sass
Her beauty marks and undeniable class.

Every dimension is utter perfection.
I wouldn’t change it if I had a different section.

The things I use to look at with distaste,
now have a different face.

I never loved my body like I should
until I wished my daughter would.

Now looking back I had it all along.
I just didn’t know where I belong.

I will never be a size small.
Just like I will never be really tall.

But that’s okay, everyone is different and unique.
Embrace your individuality!

Because daughter you are beautiful just the way you are.
Shining like a bright sparkly star,
destined to go far.

I never admired my curves or hips.
I always hated my thin lips.

Then those lips kissed my soul
filling a deep hole.

God sent me a daughter to remind me
of my brilliance and beauty.

And to give me friend
That will be there till the end.
