The Number One Self-Confidence Builder

What’s the best way to build self-confidence?

What is the best way to build self-confidence?

Well, I can tell you what has worked for me. It is a double-sided strategy and most will think I am just some religious fanatic, but I am okay with that, some will listen.

To start, I quit putting God in a box.

From a young age I was taught about God and all of His awesomeness. How He is all knowing to the point of omniscience. How He is all powerful without any limitation other than His own. I was taught about His horrible wrath and relentless judgment. I heard few sermons about his love and grace. Yet, those definitions in themselves, create a box around God’s image, God’s true likeness.

In the most unexpected way God showed me I was putting Him in a bubble. I was limiting my own concept of God, formed by what peoe has repeated to me, not what The Living Word testifies. The Bible calls God our Father. It proclaims He loves us, provides for us, protects us and leads us. He is kind, compassionate, understanding, merciful and full of grace.

I changed the way I saw God, and in return, Father changed the way I see myself. I stopped viewing myself through the lense of other people and started seeing my self through a devine lense.

I love my children, I would give up my life for them. I want the best for them and would give them nearly anything they ask. I may not be considered a father but I am a mother, and the love I have for my children is almost indescribable. So much compassion, understanding and true love that words can not do it justice. God is our Father, Father loves us just the same but a million times more than what our flesh brain can comprehend. His love is greater, stronger, and deeper than we could ever understand.

Father doesn’t want you at your best.

He wants you at your worst.

He doesn’t want you when you are healed.

He wants you when you are sick.

He doesn’t want you when you are in recovery.

He wants you while you are in addiction.

He doesn’t want you when you are better and have it all figured out.

He wants you now.

He understands what you are going through and He can walk you through it!

Bring it to God like you would want your child to bring it to you. Not from a place of fear and punishment but knowing God is your safe place. The one you run to in order to seek peace and comfort. The same way a small child runs to their mother with outstretched arms.

My self confidence changed when I started viewing myself through God’s eyes.

I am a daughter of the One True King.

I am protected.

I am sustained.

I am Guided by His hand.

He will never leave me nor forsake me.

I am loved.

I am cherished.

I am always welcome and He always has a listening ear.

My self-esteem transformed when I stopped filling my head full of things people say and started filling it what Father’s Living Word proclaims that I am.
