What’s a fear you’ve overcome — and how did you do it?
What’s a fear I have overcome? To be honest, I have not completely overcome it. But I have squashed the fear to a manageable size and continue to work on minimizing it. This is something that stops things before they are even started. Most of the time, ambitions are pushed away before a tangible plan can even come into focus. It causes un-needed stress, delays and missed opportunities. It inhibited creativity and hinders progress. It steals your hoped and dreams like a thief in the night.
What is it?
The fear of failure
I am slowly learning to stop being afarid of failure. I thought failure was just that, a failed attempt, a mistake, a bad choice, nothing positive. Just something I wish I could erase from my memory and all who witnessed it.
Now I realize that failure is part of the process.
Sometimes and especially in my case, you must learn what not to do, before you can understand what to do.
It is just part of the process.
And sometimes, God allows failure so He can align you with something inconceivably better.
Well said! I agree with you that it’s part of our personal growth process. I have failed a lot, but every failure teaches me something, and I am a better person for it.
