I live between the pages.
Collecting moments from the present and keeping them for a different ages.

Little pieces of today lost then found.
Tucked away here, safe and sound.
Resting upon this paper ground,
Where all your sweetest thoughts are bound.

Fragments of you that were left behind,
as your eyes danced softly across the line.
Meanwhile, I waited in my disguise,
collecting treasures right before your eyes.

A little hope, a little love.
A whole lot of counting on The One above.
These hang in the living room, the room that holds the most warmth.
Each one fits like a tailored glove.

A little bit of joy, a little bit of relief.
Perhaps even a little belief.
Nestles between the pages underneath.
I lay these across the kitchen leaf.

A little bit of excitement, a little bit of rest.
Little pieces like these are the best.
They go in my bedroom, I bet you would have never guessed.
There to remind me of all that I have been blessed.

I keep each one and decorate where I stay,
waiting for the day.
When you come back to play
and lean in close for all I have to say.

Each memory I hold,
like a secret, never to be told.
Tucked away between the folds
of a story waiting to unfold.

Only you hold the key,
to unlock what I see,
The treasure of your memories
locked safely away with me
between the pages of a hidden diary.

Won’t you come back to my room real soon, under the glow of a paper moon?
Come turn the pages and read once more,
to leave me pieces for new decor.
