Homeschool Field Trip

One of the greatest joys of homeschooling is being able to learn on the go. If the kiddos don’t feel like diving into the books that day, we learn outside instead. Especially while the weather is enjoyable I try to incorporate fun field trips into our lessons. Learning should be fun and exciting not mundane. While I know fun and exciting can not be incorporated into every lesson, it is a vital part of our homeschooling and one I enjoy greatly. In fact, field trips are probably my favorite thing about homeschooling. How awesome it is to teach my children while forming incredible memories together.

I will share a few photos from our recent filed trip. We decided to go hiking at a local spot and each child had a envelope to fill full of fascinating treasures they found along the way. We learned about and identified local trees, plant and mushroom species. As well as the importance of being aware of hung-up trees while hiking and their potential dangers. I look forward to our next homeschool adventure.
